buyRVAart wants you to show us how you spend your Summer!

Show us through your art!

BuyRVAart.com announces an open call to artists working in both 2D and 3D Art. Submissions must be original artwork submitted by the creator of the work.

ENTRY DEADLINE

Entries, payment, and image information (email or entry form) must be postmarked no later than Monday, April 30, 2018, or submitted online no later than Wednesday, May 7, 2018, at 4:00 p.m.  Link to Entry Form

ONLINE EXHIBITION May 21 – August 1, 2018

Live Exhibition Art will hang at one of 4 places – Crossroads Art Center, Capital Ale House Downtown, Sticks Kabob Shop at Willow Lawn, or The Richmond Association of Realtors. It will be up to Jenni Kirby as to where the art will be hung. Art will be hung the week of May 21, 2018. Drop off deadline for Live Exhibition will be May 16.

ELIGIBILITY Art - 2D (Larger is better). 3D art is also acceptable

Artists in the Richmond area, age 18+.

ENTRY PROCEDURE

Entrants may submit digital images on CD, DVD, or online. Submit only one image for each work.

Preparing Digital Files

 Work for exhibition will be judged and selected using digital images.  Generate a digital file of each image at a resolution of 72ppi, with the longest dimension 1900 pixels. Save the file in JPG format at the maximum quality level. Label each file with the your last name, first initial, title of the work, medium, dimensions, and price. Identify images on the entry form with the title of the work.

Hand-Delivered or Mailed Entries Submit a CD or DVD, completed entry form, entry fee, and SASE (for return of CD) to BuyRVAart.com, 2016 Staples Mill Road, Richmond, VA, 23224.

Include your name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address in the body of an email. For each image you submit, provide file name, title of work, medium, dimensions (including frame). Attach the digital images of the work that corresponds to the information in the email. Send to jennikirby@buyRVAart.com.

Entry Fee 

The submission fee is nonrefundable $25 (U.S.) for up to 3 images.

Payment Payment may be made online at www.buyRVAart.com. Mail or hand-deliver personal check (U.S. only) or money order, payable to BuyRVAart.com. Notification and Other Conditions All artists who submit work will be notified of selection status by email. Hand-delivered or mailed entries will not be returned without SASE and adequate postage. Entry forms may be photocopied. Images of accepted work may be retained for publicity purposes and will be returned after the exhibition closes.

Juror Work is reviewed and selected by our exhibition committee

AWARDS

Cash and prizes up to $1,000 will be awarded solely at the discretion of the exhibition jury panel. First, second, and third places will receive an award certificate and an editorial spread in a BuyRVAart.com enewsletter which reaches more 23,000 subscribers.

SALES

All work must be for sale. A commission of 25% of the sales price will be paid to BuyRVAart.com.
