In early Spring there is a profusion of blossoms on fruit trees. This ancient cherry tree was located in an empty lot which was obviously at one time a homestead. The area is for sale and which was my reason for capturing photographs of the beautiful tree before it is possibly lost.

Artist's Statement:

I received my first camera, which I still own, when I was twelve and was immediately captivated by photography. My images have been accepted in juried shows in the US and in an international show in Serbia. Our world is a smorgasbord of photographic opportunities. I have been lucky enough to travel our country and internationally; however, many of my most successful images have been taken near home in my quest to capture the intrinsic beauty of common things as well as those which are exotic.  I am a member of Photographic Society of America, Fredericksburg (VA) Photography Club, Jackson (MS) Photography Society, Blacksburg Art Association, Brush Strokes Gallery, Fredericksburg VA and Crossroads Art Center, Richmond VA.
