The Guardian Tree is the gift that keeps on giving. During COVID she was posited in a different version with positive messages for 50 days. There are 100’s of versions of her as she still stands strong . Altered photography gives me the ability to be most creative.with her.

Artist's Statement:

I have been an artist my entire life. Even when fulfilling my other love and job of training and judging dressage horses, I still made time to pursue my art. Courses at VCU, VMFA Museum School and the Visual Art Center helped me to experiment and expand in multiple mediums and continue work outside the equestrian field.

For the past several years my chronic back pain actually did something good and opened the door to the world of altered photographs. My strengths are seeing and composition, along with manipulating color and texture. Nature is my greatest influence and inspiration. Currently my Guardian Tree series is  continuing to be the most popular. Heading my Instagram page is a quote from Albert Einstein…”creativity is contagious, pass it on”.
