Andrea Lantz

Andrea Lantz is a screenprint artist and watercolor painter based in Richmond, Virginia.

In her screenprinting practice she enjoys working in series while varying design elements and layering colors to explore the visual effects of different combinations. Her background in engineering often surfaces in these experiments, through the precise application of multiple layers of ink or in the subject matter itself. Recent screenprint series have included crossword puzzle mashups, vintage tricycles, good dogs, minimalist landscapes based on the Fibonacci mathematical series, and abstracts inspired by household textiles in her childhood home.

Andrea’s tricycles are included in the collection of the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at Virginia Commonwealth University.
