Portrait Sculpture Workshop with Eudald de Juana Gorriz
The course will focus on the process of building a three-dimensional portrait in clay using the live model as reference.
Through demonstrations and personalized critiques, students will learn the modelling process based on the figurative tradition of the great masters, taught in The Florence Academy of Art. This technique, combined with different methods of observation, will allows us to be accurate in terms of proportions, gesture, internal structure, and thus to approach the maximum similarity and expression of the model to capture the essence of the person portrayed. Since the class is limited to seven students, there will be time for both individual critiques and for Eudald to demonstrate by creating his own portrait.
