The Center for Creative Arts offers a wide array of art classes for children, teens, and adults, as well as private music lessons, taught by professional artists and musicians in a nurturing environment. Located in the West End, children ages 5-10 can join the Young Artists’ Atelier where they develop drawing and painting skills while exploring art from around the world. Tweens and Teens focus on studio art and refine their skills in drawing, watercolors, oil, pastels, acrylics, and clay. Adult Studio Classes enable students of all abilities to work on individual paintings in oils, acrylics or pastels with guidance in drawing, composition, color mixing, and technique. One day adult workshops provide an opportunity for adults to explore new mediums and make new friends.
The Center’s 16 music instructors are all professional musicians who are also dedicated teachers. Instruction is offered in guitar, cello, clarinet, drums, flute, French horn, piano, saxophone, violin, viola, trombone, tuba, and voice! Recitals are held in December and June. The Center is known for small class sizes, and instruction tailored to the individual’s needs. Visit the website at www.center4creativearts.org for a full list of instructors, classes and workshops.
