The Center for Creative Arts offers art classes and workshops for students of all ages. Located in the west-end, the Center’s Preschool, Elementary, Teen Studio Art, and Adult Studio Art classes are taught by professional artists in a nurturing environment. Small class size ensures individual attention as artists are encouraged to hone their technique, while developing their own creative vision.
The Center’s music department offers private lessons for cello, clarinet, drums, flute, French horn, guitar, piano, saxophone, trombone, trumpet, tuba, violin, viola, and voice. Professional musicians as mentors ensure that students get the best possible instruction. Recitals are offered at Christmas and in the spring.
Popular summer camps at The Center for Creative Arts include preschool art and ballet, chess, elementary and teen art, robotics, and musical theater. Founded in May 2004, The Center for Creative Arts is located on the campus of Shady Grove United Methodist Church in Short Pump.
