STREET ART AND MURALS IN RICHMOND, VA

RICHMOND IS HOME TO OVER 100 MURALS

The Richmond region is a living canvas with walls painted by locals and international artists. Each year, the Richmond Mural Project, a collaboration between Art Whino and RVA Magazine, brings in artists from all over the world to paint walls in Richmond. Highlights include: “Moonshine” by Etam Cru, named by Buzzfeed as a “best piece of street art in the world,” pieces by Ron English, Angry Woebots and Stormie Mills. The RVA Street Art Festival is a homegrown celebration of all things street art in Richmond VA. The festival transforms and invigorates neglected areas with murals and paintings by local, national and global artists. It benefits local arts charities, does arts outreach in underserved communities and is always a pretty great party with music, food trucks and a market.
