A forthcoming favorite book between two longtime favorites - one that celebrates the joys of bounteous hope and the other that laments a flawed life that is immersed in artistic beauty. (America's Favorite Flies has some of this, some of that, and a lot of the other.) 656 pages, 1,700+ color images, 7 1/2 pounds - due Nov 17, 2017. Order at www.americasfavoriteflies.com

John Bryan has created “presentation copies” of some of his books – copies that often have original watercolor paintings on the inside covers as well as other personal touches that make them uniquely special. These presentation copies are available online exclusively via www.buyRVAart.com.

John’s writings have appeared in publications ranging from Sports Illustrated to ArtsLink to Delta SKY. His books include Take Me Fishing (Skyhorse, 2007) – whose presentation copy is housed in a handmade wooden box with a limited-edition print by James Prosek encased in the box lid and with 40 pieces of fishing line that were used by the book’s contributors (President Jimmy Carter, Pulitzer awardee John McPhee, former New York Times editor Howell Raines, others) affixed onto the book’s acid-free frontispiece. This exclusive presentation copy sells for $1,000.

The presentation copy of John’s self-published and self-designed Urban Bassing in Richmond (1993) includes an original watercolor painting of a bass on the inside cover. This rare presentation copy is available for only $125.
