She stands tall, blooming with empowerment. She is like none other, a coalescence of natural forms and textures. She is rooted in, inspired by, and honors those who came before her, while pursuing symbiosis/equality/harmony through diversity.

Artist Statement:

Exploration of the Natural State of Arkansas and other wilderness guides my forms, textures, and movement as I perceive patterns from cellular to flora to figure to landscape to cosmos. Through ceramics, I coalesce my ideas of power, balance, equality, and symbiosis (and the lack thereof), and how these shape systems and relationships among humans and with the Earth. My forms welcome viewers with just enough familiarity to establish a safe interaction, then challenge viewers to question reality in hopes that we can see what we have in common, then evolve to improve it together.
